We are looking for an experienced Brand Manager/Category Manager that has a passion for developing a merchandise range that will excite our customers. Based at our support office in East Bentleigh, this is an opportunity not to be missed! Reporting to the Merchandise Business Manager (Print & Copy), this role will be responsible for building new business opportunities in some of the most dynamic categories within P&C portfolio. We are looking for someone with entrepreneurial flair, engaging personality and great attention to detail.

As Print Buyer (Print & Copy) key responsibilities are:

  • Maximise sales and profit in the relevant categories, managing a portfolio of partners and products
  • Ongoing management and development of the promotional products category
  • Ongoing management and development of the large format print and B2B products category
  • Ongoing management and development of the licenced products category 
  • Research and develop design/web design service
  • Manage our suppliers/partners, negotiate terms and develop go-to-market strategies
  • Develop and execute strategies to exceed customer expectations
  • Develop and implement strategic plans
  • Team development and ongoing leadership
  • Work closely with other business divisions to deliver offer to market in a timely and cost-effective way
  • Work closely with the Business and Buying Managers on category development strategy, outlining necessary range planning and development

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Degree level educated in a marketing or commerce related discipline
  • 5+ years of industry experience, prior experience in buying/marketing or licensing is required
  • Relevant commercial marketing or similar consumer targeted experience
  • Track record in consumer product management
  • Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability in engaging effectively with business partners and diverse stakeholders
  • A strategic thinker who has the vision to plan and drive results and success
  • Creative in outlook and problem solving and excited by innovation and new opportunities
  • High adaptable, able to manage change
  • Must be able to collaborate, and engage stakeholders at all levels with a high level of influencing and persuasion skills
  • Strong partnership and relationship building skills
  • Able to work well as part of a team as well as the independence to use initiative and work autonomously
  • Computer literate including the use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
