Our vision is to help make bigger things happen for our customers, our team and community. We have created 3 exciting new roles within our Commercial Strategy team partnering with key business functions including merchandise, supply chain, IT and operations, to develop and enhance business unit strategies. Developing and delivering our Commercial Strategy programs, these collaborative new roles are all about translating strategic objectives into new projects and initiatives and delivering them for the business.

Partnering with General Managers and business leads, this key cross-functional position will engage and collaborate, scoping new projects and supporting the delivery of in-flight projects. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with senior business leads to assess and scope new projects and initiatives through to approval
  • Driving project outcomes through effective project management/ coaching of team members
  • Developing and socialising recommendations for their assigned projects
  • Managing and tracking project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies and escalating as necessary
  • Managing the governance and reporting associated with their assigned projects
  • Completing post implementation reviews (PIRs) with project teams

Tertiary qualified, with solid retail industry and/or management consulting experience, you will be an expert in developing and delivering multiple complex cross-functional projects and will enjoy working closely with project sponsors to deliver to planned timelines.  As a true business partner, you will excel at developing and translating recommendations for assigned projects into action with governance, compliance and accurate reporting front of mind.

We are seeking a competent and creative problem solver who can see the bigger picture. Sound knowledge of project management fundamentals and frameworks will enable you to engage, train and coach effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the business.

You are an outstanding communicator with excellent analytical, presentation and report writing skills. A high level of competency with MS Suite (PowerPoint, Excel) is required, experience with Project Management Tools software (e.g. MS Project) is preferred.
